Founded in 2021, the GMS DEI program is working to introduce rowing to middle school students in surrounding underserved communities and to support their rowing from middle school through high school, with a path to college as the end goal. GMS is a nationally recognized program with a reputation of excellence. Statistics show that fifty percent of female rowers attend college with aid from an athletic scholarship and nearly one in six male rowers receive financial aid tied to their rowing.
A full GMS DEI scholarship covers tuition, team uniform, warm jacket and pants, regatta fees and transportation. Cost per rower for full year (4 sessions) is ~ $4400. There are many ways for you to make a difference for these hard-working kids:
